"Yesterday, police arrested a Chicago man in Steuben County after troopers say he was found nude in his car.
They stopped 37 year old Sean McCormick on the east bound side near the 147 mile marker at about 4:15 after receiving reports of a nude person driving a car with Illinois license plates.
McCormick told them he felt comfortable driving in the nude and he was heading to his mother's house in Ohio.
McCormick was booked at the Steuben County Jail where he is being held without bond on a Class A misdemeanor of public indecency."
Haha... you think this is bad? How about that same night, another man was in my town running around naked? Or even worse! Again last night, another man was busted in my town for driving in the nude! LMAO@this epidemic...
I guess I am out of the loop on what is 'in style' these days. I'm thinking the darkness is a good place to be.
This does remind me of an experience my mom and I had when I was a teen though. We were on our way back from NC, my dad was in the vehicle in front of us. Driving on a busy interstate... I wanna say it was around Cincinnati...mom notices this guy is not letting her get past him. He is doing everything in his power to make sure he stays beside us and keeps looking at us. Then all the sudden, we notice he is pointing down. The freak was pleasuring himself on the interstate!!! And wanted to make sure we saw it. hahaha. *shakes my head*

Real Estate Buyer Agencies
With interest rates still low, now is a great time to buy property! And if you are looking to buy, here is some information that you may find of interest.
Were you aware there are residential real estate firms offering buyer agency services that are fake?
In order for a firm to be true and legit buyer agency and honestly represent the buyers best interest, they MUST up offer three things to the buyer. First of all, they must offer exclusive buyer representation. In other words, they should not offer services for both buyers and sellers. Firms that represent both sides of the spectrum often promote their own listings just so they can retain the entire commission.
Secondly, they must offer flat-fee pricing. Firms with percentage based commission schedules will reward their agent for selling you the most expensive property you can afford. You don't want that. You want a firm that is going to find and sell you the property that will give you the most for your dollar!
Lastly, the firm must provide a low pressure atmosphere. Real estate purchases are major financial committments. You do not want to make such committments will under pressure.
Territory Real Estate is a reputable firm in the brokerage industry. They offer exclusive buyer representation with a low flat-fee and pay their sales team a salary, not a commission.
Check them out today if you are in the real estate market.

My Idiot Neighbor...
We went for your weekly dinner at the moose tonight with one of our neighbors. That is always a good time. We get to catch up and relax. She has been a really good friend to me for 15 years now and I simply adore her and her daughters. Unfortunately, she recently received some negative medical news... so we try to watch out for her.
Anywho... we got home from dinner and my idiot neighbor on the other side...whom we commonly refer to as ANAL BOY, haha...and no, not just the people in my house...other neighbors do as well.. anyway...ANAL BOY had cut our wire for our dog fence with his lawn mower or weed wacker er whatever and never said a word! We spliced it back together and got the monitor to quite beeping. Then he came out to get into his vehicle...looked right over at us...never said a word and left.
Its not so much that he cut it... as we needed to put a splice there anyway to get into the back yard so we could bury it all...but the fact that he knew he did it and didn't say a word! And yes, it was obvious he had to have known he was hung up!!

Mo has absolutely no interest in potty training. I have no clue what I am going to do with her. I have tried everything I can think of. We even moved Meg to a 'big girl bed' because she is doing so well with her potty training. We thought that would give Mo some incentive.
Yeah, that worked for about 4 hours. Then right back to, "NO! I don't wanna go potty!" with a cry.
Ughhhhh. I don't know what to do.

Direct a movie
Have you heard about the "Life as it should be" campaign yet? Well this stuff is better than sliced bread!
You get to direct your own small movie using old films Coke has found and manipulating it with the use of a voice recorder. These are hilarious!! Aftwards, you get to send the movie to your friends and show them the masterpiece you have created!
Your movie then competes with other movies to be the highest rated. This is living "Life as it should be", brought to you by Coke Zero.
Which reminds me... have you tried the new Coke Zero yet? This is the fabulous new soda from Coke that offers real taste and zero sugar! I've tried it... and is sure does really taste like Coke! How awesome is that? You have to try it!

100-year-old celebrates her birthday by smoking 170,000th cigarette
Things that make you go hmm...............
An iron-lunged pensioner has celebrated her 100th birthday by lighting up her 170,000th cigerette from a candle on her birthday cake.
Winnie Langley started smoking only days after the First World War broke out in June 1914 when she was just seven-years-old - and has got through five a day ever since.
She has no intention of quitting, even after the nationwide ban forced tobacco-lovers outside.
Speaking at her 100th birthday party Winnie said: "I have smoked ever since infant school and I have never thought about quitting.
"There were not all the the health warnings like there are today when I started. It was the done thing."
Winnie, from Croydon, South London, claims tobacco has never made her ill.
She has outlived a husband, Robert, and son, Donald, who died two years ago aged 72.
The former launderette worker said she started the habit in 1914 - just weeks after the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in Sarajevo on June 28 - which sparked the First World War.
The 100-year-old, who is awaiting her telegram from the Queen today, said smoking helped calm her nerves during the two World Wars.
She said: "A lot of people smoked during the war. It helped steady the nerves."
Despite the numerous health warnings, Mrs Langley insists she's never suffered because of the habit as she "has never inhaled".

Weight loss alternatives
We all know what a rollercoaster dieting can be. You lose weight...then all of the sudden you put it all back on, plus more! Well, I was during some research into other forms of weight loss when I came across Journey Lite. Journey Lite specializes in Laparoscopic Adjustable Gastric Banding procedure that is not as drastic as the gastric bypass surgery. The lap band is designed to help you lose excess body weight while enhancing your quality of life and improving weight-related health issues.
It reduces the stomach capacity and restricts the amount of food that can be consumed enabling you to restrict the amount of food you can eat at one time.
This entire procedure is done laparoscopically too. Which means you would not have a large scar to look at the rest of your life. The surgeon will make tiny incisions and use a small camera to view the stomach. The lap band is then locked securely in a ring around the stomach creating a small stomach pouch that will limit and control the amount of food you can consume.
Because the stomach outlet is smaller, you will feel full faster and your food will move slowly through your digestive system. Thus allowing you to feel full faster while allowing you to eat less and lose weight.
I have linked the lapband words to the Journeylite site so you can check it out yourself.
The little things excite me. Such as ... "This is a notification letting you know that your PPP post, [post name], has been approved." 'You're well on your way to making some serious cash blogging about the things you love.'
Did I mention how much I am looking forward to feeding my scrap addiction even more?

And in the news.... a man went into a convenience store, leaving his daughter in a running car. As soon as he entered the store, a man and woman jumped into the car and took off, not realizing there was a child in the car. When they noticed her in the back seat, they pulled off the side of the road and told her to get out. Police picked her up at a hotel. They have not located the car or man and woman.
Thank God they let her out unharmed!

Kids are so cute!
The twins are all into 'playing school'. They crack me up!! Earlier, Kat was practicing her spelling words. Everything thing she would say, Mo would repeat. Then they started doing the alphabet. Kat would say a letter...Mo would repeat it. But not just repeat it... she said every letter really loud and with such enthusiasm! It was so cute.
My girls are growing up so fast.

The Ultimate Gift
Remember 'the man who never wants anything for himself'? Well, I think I may have found something to get him for Christmas! YAY. You see, my uncle plays paintball all the time and he is always telling us we need to get a gun and come play. And I know it would be a lot of fun if we had one.
So I started looking around at different paintball markers sites. Guess what?! I found a SALE!!! Not only are these the best prices I have found, they have FREE shipping to boot!
The paintball gun packages they have are killer.
I'm thinking this would be a great gift, as it would get him out of the house for a while to do something fun. Not just to go work on someone's computer, etc. He loves all this kind of stuff anyway.
Yes, yes... I do see a Tippmann A-5 in the future!

Saturday's events
We went to the annual hospital picnic today. That is always a fun event. Lots of stuff for kids and adults. And the food is always super yummy too! Kat loved riding on the shuttle bus to and from the picnic too, lol.
It had rained all morning though so all the kid stuff, like the big thing to jump in or the big slide things were all covered in mud. And since we had to ride the shuttle, I didn't want her getting the seats all mud. So after finding out how muddy everything was, she opted to go over to the clowns and get her balloon shape and face painted instead.
It's so quiet here without Mo and Meg. Mo called last night crying, saying "I want you mommy!". *Tears just thinking about it* But she did ok after that. Meg woke up in the night and told my aunt she was sick. My aunt turned on the light to see if she had vomited and Meg said... 'my bampa took my keys!'. So apparently she had a dream that her grandpa took some keys from her, lol. She had to tell Mo all about it this morning when they woke up too. :)
They will be home tomorrow. I will be so relieved when they get here.

Simplify the planning of a big event
I need to get busy on getting stuff sent out for the big car show coming up in October. Getting everything organized takes so much time. Printing out flyers, registration forms, window displays, dash plaques, etc.
It seems when we let the management at the fairgrounds help advertise for the event, everything ends up rambled! Last year we had one club that was told the event started @ 9 AM. Another club was told it started @ 1 PM, the radio said it started at noon. How can things get so messed up?
I've been trying to figure out a way of keeping everything all straight from the get go. I found this corporate event planning software from Regonline.com that I am thinking would be a perfect solution!
I love the idea of our participants being able to preregister online with the simple click of the button. And it is not one of those 'look all over the site to find the sign up button' type things either. The registration option clearly grabs your attention. Plus, we would be able to post all the information right on the site about the show, all the times for the different events, even set up a page for local hotels for our out-of-town participants.
I can send out emails to everyone on our mailing list, directing them to the site to preregister. That will save a lot of time!
Personally, I think the layout of the site is much more appealing than the flyers we usually send. Everything is simplified. The registration process is smooth and secure!
Maybe it will even entice more people to come out! The more participation we have, the more fun it can be for everyone!
WTF?
I talked to my aunt on the phone a little bit ago and she said she passed a lady who was painting her nails as she drove down the road. WTF are people thinking? It is ignorance like that that causes innocent lives to be lost. As a mom of 3 little girls, hearing that people do such irresponsible things just infuriates me.

Make money online...
My darling friend Niki share some more information with me I thought I would pass along to you! She referred me to another site that again pays people for posting in their blog. I am still amazed by this whole process. Honestly, I thought it 'sounds too good' when I first heard about it. Then I found out someone I know personally was really getting paid to do this stuff! And she was nice enough to pass along the opportunity to earn a little extra income to me. And we all know what a digiscrap addict I am, right?! So yeah, money is my friend. As long as it is coming in... not going out! HA.
Bloggerwave is now live and hiring! Well, they are looking for bloggers at least. Not that you would be an 'employee' or anything, lol. Sign up is painless and you get paid to do what some do best... talk!
Again, it does not matter to me either way, join... don't join... its all good. Just thought I would share the little tidbit that was shared with me!!

This is one of the most tragic diseases I have seen a person live with. When I was a teenager, my elderly neighbor had this traumatic disease. It was so hard on his wife and family. I felt so bad for both him and his family. And I can not tell you how many times he would come running to our house convinced someone was after him.

Are leprechauns real?
Since it was dolla, dolla, dolla night at the Moose (at least that is what I am calling Thursdays, lol) we decided to go there for dinner. We called our neighbor and took her with us. She was so happy to get together too.
I like to try to spend some time with her as we have been friends for years. We were first co-workers...then I was her boss... now I am just her neighbor. We recently learned she has cancer. Well, they did surgery and think they got it all. So that is a positive. But still. I wanna make sure she feels supported.
It rained pretty hard while we were eating. As we walked out, there was a huge rainbow across the woods. That started the big discussion about rainbows and what they actually are. We tried to explain the concept of an illusion to Kat... but she still does not grasp it. She is mainly concerned with the leprechaun and pot of gold at the end of it, lol!

Forget Santa, I found COUPONS!
Have you started thinking about Christmas yet? Boy, it crossed my mind the other day. A family of 5 on a single income can make the holidays extremely tight.
I know, some of you are thinking, 'but its only August!' You are right, it is August. Just think about it though, the holiday season is only a few months away. First Halloween, then Thanksgiving and then boom! Before you know it, you are stuffing stockings.
So I started doing some online 'window shopping' for gifts. Wow, this could be tough with no overtime being allowed.
Well, I found a cool site to help save money! They have coupons for the most popular, must have brands! So that will help out a lot. And if I start shopping now, I will have more choices as well as not having one huge bill all at once.
Perhaps a wishlist would be a great place to start? For Kat, well we all know she is a little diva! So clothes are an absolute must. Of course she is always asking for make-up, nail polish, perfume... all the fun 'girly' stuff. And Webkinz. Oh we can not forget those Webkinz! She would love to have a game system too. She has the old Nintendo that I had when I was a kid right now, haha! No...not even a Nintendo 64. The original Nintendo!
The twins..well we all know I am in trouble with the Grandma's if they leave the house in non-matching outfits, right?! So clothes are always at the top of the list for them. Some learning type movies too. And I really want to get them some more games for their V Smile.
I found unbelievable The Children's Place deals! I will definitely be ordering some of the gifts from there for all 3 girls!
I have no clue what to get the man who never wants anything for himself! I did find a fabulous Nike coupon though. He can always use new shoes.
Then again, I found two of my favorite stores with coupon offers too, Kohls and Best Buy! I am certainly doing some shopping there!!
The most ultimate dream gift I could imagine for all of us though would have to be a bigger house! Three girls, all sharing one small bedroom and one bathroom is a bit over crowded, haha! I do not ever see that happening though. Oh well, it is good to have dreams, right?! I will just keep 'clipping', or should I say 'clicking' coupons!

Any You Tube fans in the house?
I know there are tons of fans of the tv reality shows out there. I know my favorites are always the "Rockstar" or "American Idol" type shows. Once in a while I will get into "Big Brother" or "Survivor".
Well I learn something new every day I swear! Did you know there is an internet reality show coming? Yup! "The Next Internet Millionaire" is headed our way people!
Check this out...
The Next Internet Millionaire is the world's first competitive Internet reality show. If you like Survivor, The Apprentice or The Amazing Race, you will love this show where twelve people compete for a $25,000 cash prize and a joint venture with Joel Comm, one of the world's leading Internet entrepreneurs. "The Next Internet Millionaire" is a groundbreaking series for both reality fans and people who want to learn how they can make money online.
This sounds like big time fun! I'm gonna be checking this one out :)

School grumbling!
It seems so strange not having Kat home here during the day. The twins miss her so much. Summer was just way too short. And did I mention how irritated I am that they changed school hours to make them longer? Yeah, no one found out until a couple of days before school started. And that was only if you noticed the little note on the wall during 'Meet the Teacher' night. So if you didn't go... or did not notice this little note... you were surely wondering what the heck happened when your kids arrived home 40 minutes later than they should!
Oh! And we were told at registration who the bus driver would be and the number..all that! HA! Totally different driver/bus on the first day!
Doing the digiscrap funds dance!! YAY
Nik gave me some information on a great way to earn a little extra income. And we all know I can certainly use that. I have to support my digiscrap addiction somehow, right?! haha. Did you know there are places that actually pay you to make posts in your blogs? How cool is that? I mean, hello... I blog... you wanna pay me for it... OK! I'm good with that. You will get no arguments from me, lol. So I checked out a couple of them before I found one that is actually active.
I signed up for with this site called payperpost.com. Not only do they pay me to babble, lol... I also get to meet new people = make more friends! YAY. For this stay at home mom, that is a huge bonus! Oh and...they pay me via paypal!! Is that not the best? Right there fore my shopping fun!
The registration process was painless and was easy to link to my existing blog. And the awesome part is, there is no 'job interview'... you sign up, they make sure you have an active blog and within a week they send you an email.
Just because I know people will be commenting, wanting to know how to do this, I have linked every BLOG word for you already. Cuz lets face it... I have layouts to make here...haha!
Just kidding people! If you have questions or comments, post them by all means! I added a little 'join' template in my sidebar and in a previous post if you would like to give me props for referring you too.
It does not matter to me either way, join... don't join... its all good. Just thought I would share the little tidbit that was shared with me!!

The Nazi
I need to apologize to my labia. I put them through so much, but this most recent injustice really deserves a public confession.
It started all when I moved to a new city, and went looking for a place to get a Brazilian. Several people recommended the "wax Nazi" who worked in the back room of a just-sanitary-enough nail salon. I guess I should have known better than to trust my nethers to a "Nazi," but when I heard her thick Russian accent I figured she got the name from someone who didn't know the difference between nyet and nein. I also should have known better when I saw the roll of duct tape sitting next to the warming pot of wax. But a friend had warned me about her unorthodox technique and said her method was no more painful than the traditional muslin strips.
So I took off my pants, hopped onto the table, and prepared to go to my happy place for the duration of the procedure. Unfortunately, the Nazi started barking orders, and I realized the waxing wasn't going to be passive. "Bend zee leg." Okay, fine. "Press knee to table." Okay, fine. "Now, holt zee lip." Excuse me? "Holt zee lip. Here, give me hand, and holt here, tight." Okay, so she needed a little help holding the skin taught while she waxed. Fine. I continued following her instructions, feeling uncomfortable and hairy--the usual for a bikini wax.
So, all well and good until I heard a rip of the wax followed by a surprised grunt from the Nazi. Hmmm. Something was wrong. Nazi was dabbing my inner thighs, presumably wiping off extra wax. Then she asked me to press a paper towel to my undercarriage. Again, not so weird since this had been an interactive experience from the beginning. Finally, she asked me to sit up. That's when I knew something was wrong. Not sure how to explain this so it doesn't turn into a horror story, but, well, I was bleeding all over the table.
I jumped up, and she started babbling in Russian. Every now and then she would switch to English and say something to the effect of, "Eez vine, eez vine."
"Actually," I said, "Eez not vine at all." In fact, it was so very far from fine.
In the next few hours, more people saw my vagina than have seen my vagina in my entire life. First, there was my roommate, followed by my best friend who worked at Planned Parenthood, her supervisor, the triage nurse at the hospital, the ER resident on duty, a rape counselor (summoned when no one believed what happened between my legs was really caused by a waxing accident), some students, some more doctors, a gynecologist, and finally there was the plastic surgeon called in for a consult.
He was the last person to see my vagina for a very, very long time, and his pronouncement was this: "Well, it's finally stopped bleeding, and it really could use some stitches. But, I'm afraid there isn't much left to stitch up." And that is why I must apologize. So:
Dear Labia,I know we don't talk often. But Majora, Minora, listen: I still don't get which of you is which, but I know I hurt you both. You have protected me my whole life and I treated you so very badly. I know this happened months ago and you're still mad... But you survived, didn't you? And, hey, we really enjoyed those few weeks with the painkillers, didn't we? I just want you to know I've learned my lesson. One of you (Majora, I think) is meant to be covered with soft downy hair, and I hereby promise not to try and change that ever again.

True Blue Buddy
Here is another Christy Sturm (butternugsquash.com) kit that I absolutely adore. I have a thing for the patriotic kits lately. I dunno if it is because I love the 4th of July or my support for our troops or maybe a combination of everything.

Here comes Peter Cottontail...
We have a baby bunny living in our garage!
Apparently it was living in the kids jungle gym and when we moved it to mow, it got spooked and ran. The twins started chasing it and it went to the neighbors. Well, at some point, it snuck into our garage.
It is a cute lil booger though.
I gave it some lettuce tonight. Hopefully it will survive.
Bleh
We have meet the teacher night tonight.
I am so not looking forward to Kat going back to school.
Summer was way to short.
I wish our lawmakers would pass a law that school could not start before Labor Day here.
It would be wonderful if they would make it so we are all on the same schedule too. Like they do in Michigan. Make the school days an hour longer... who cares? Give the kids a summer!!

Earthquake in Peru
I heard on the news about the huge earthquake in Peru. The first thought in my head was my mom saying that my cousin Rick is in South America right now... where he just got married. They were going to Las Vegas when they got back to the US. But I dunno exactly what date they were coming back... and I do not know what part of South America they went to.

Sunday's events
We went to my parents today for a cookout. Gotta love corn on the cob season. It is always better when you can buy it from an amish market stand than from the grocery. I dunno why.
Megan had a bad day as far as potty training.
They all played in the sprinkler at my parents and had big fun. Then when we came home, they got to 'drive the john deere' with daddy, lol. That made their days.
*Random* My feet are all swollen and ache. Must be the massive heat, huh? *shrug*

When we got home from our shoe shopping adventure, I found that my 250gb slave was having issues. So much in fact, I almost had a nervous break down.
Yeah, I have been seriously reminded that I MUST BACK MY STUFF UP!!
*Burning away* Hey Twin... its almost 4 and I'm still going! LOL

Shoe shopping wraps up!!
So we finished our 'back to school shoe shopping' tonight. We went to my favorite place to buy shoes... Factory Brand Shoes. Kat got 3 pairs of shoes, so she is set. We ended up with these... they were her favs
so adorable! The picture does not do them justice. There is actually a lil bit of camouflage going on there
As well as another pair of Skechers... I will post a pic when I find them!! And a pair of Buster Browns for casual wear.
We hit the sales at TCP (The Children's Place) too. Great buys there!! Another place I LOVE to shop. Picked all the girls up some bermuda shorts, a couple of shirts and there was a clearance on swimsuits so we ended up with a swimsuit for Kat for 2.99! Regular price was 24.99 ~ great deal!! I think we ended up with 2 shirts, 6 pairs of pants and a swimsuit all for $20! Can't beat that!
That reminds me... Macy's is having great sales too!!! I hit their sales a couple of weeks ago. And ya gotta love the awesome buys on the Hannah Montana clothing...since it is 'all the rave' right now, lol.
In September, we will be hitting The Limited Too. I spent wayyy to much there a couple of weeks ago BUT I also earned Too Bucks!! So starting 9/1 I can cash those in!! Something like $50 in Too Bucks. Can't wait!!

She always gets Skechers...nothing else, lol. I guess they are the most comfortable for her. We have to get a pair to leave at school for gym only too. I say why not get a cheap super store pair of shoes for gym.... but NOOOO! That would not be in style mom! SILLY ME!

Friday's Indulgences
Happy Friday internet land! It has been another chaotic day in my house.
Trying to get the lil ones to stay in their beds for naptime has proven to be quite a challenge now that one of the twins has a 'big girl bed'.
I need to find a solution before I go insane.
However, my form of prozac for the day has been shopping at littledreamerdesigns.com. Michelle Coleman's designs are addicting. I am specifically oogling over this one right now...
Oh the possiblities of digi scrapping here!!
I have to say, this is among my favorite digi sites. :)

School reg
Kat is all registered for school. The registration was interesting... apparently we have 3 new teachers for second grade alone. That is 3 out of 4 second grade teachers. Plus we have a new principal and vice principal...oh, and office secretary. I dunno how many other new teachers there are. I found that all strange though..
Next week we get to meet the teacher and take her supplies to school.
This summer went wayyyyyyy too fast! *sigh*
We do have a cool new program for lunches though. Cafeprepay. Now we can track her lunch funds and add to it over the net as needed. I am loving that idea!

Caesar Salad with Fried Ravioli
1 pound large ravioli, fresh or frozen 1 cup cornmeal1/2 cup Parmigiano Reggiano for coating ravioli, plus a handful for salad dressingSalt and lots of freshly ground black pepper1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil (EVOO), divided Zest and juice of 1 lemon1 clove garlic, grated 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard 1 teaspoon anchovy paste A few shots of hot sauce, such as Tabasco1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce, eyeball it 3 hearts of romaine, chopped
Bring a large pot of water to a boil for ravioli. Salt water and cook a minute less than package directions for either fresh or frozen pasta, then drain thoroughly. Heat about 3 tablespoons EVOO in a large, nonstick skillet over medium heat. Combine cornmeal, 1/2 cup of Parmigiano Reggiano and lots of black pepper on a plate. Coat the drained ravioli in the cornmeal and cheese mixture. Shake off excess and fry the ravioli until golden on each side, 4-5 minutes total. Remove them to a paper-towel lined plate and season with some salt.
For the salad, whisk together the lemon zest and juice, grated garlic, mustard, anchovy paste, hot sauce and Worcestershire then stream in the EVOO, about 5 tablespoons. Coat the romaine in dressing then season with pepper and a handful of grated cheese. Top salad with crispy ravioli and serve.
