Are you familiar with Alzheimer's Disease? I'm sure you are. In fact, millions of americans are caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s.
The Alzheimer’s Association®, the world leader in Alzheimer’s research, care and support, is dedicated to finding prevention methods, treatments and an eventual cure for the disease. They have formed a Memory Walk to raise funding to help fight this dibilitating disease. It is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. Even if you can't walk in the event, you can still participate by volunteering your time to help out in the event.
It is easy to start your own team or you can join one already formed at the Alzheimer's Association. This event is nationwide and all ages can walk. Team captains are needed in all areas of the US. If you or someone you know would be willing to put together a team, please sign up early so you will have time to build your team. You can also go to the website and enter your zip code to find a walk already formed in your area or become a team captain yourself!
If you are interested in being a team captain, rest assured the Alzheimer's Association has made it easy to get friends, family and co-workers to join your team by using the simple email system built into the Team Captain page easily created after logging in!
Remember, there is strength in numbers! Each individual that gets involved can make a difference in this fundraising event!

This is one of the most tragic diseases I have seen a person live with. When I was a teenager, my elderly neighbor had this traumatic disease. It was so hard on his wife and family. I felt so bad for both him and his family. And I can not tell you how many times he would come running to our house convinced someone was after him.
Memory Walk is nationally presented by Genworth Financial
